It's been a while since i've browsed this forum. Anyways... about over a year ago a few months after the TSX first came out i remember hundreds of threads on "rattles" from the new 04 models. However, i was quite surprised to see that there weren't anymore threads on rattles on the first few pages of this forum anymore. Did the rattle problems get fixed? Or did you guys just get tired of trying to fix them? Those of you with 05's. Did Honda/Acura fix the rattles?

I also remember things like, "everytime i make a hard turn, my seat would move". Is that problem fixed as well?

basically, my questions is did honda/acura fix the 04 problems in the 05 model?

Those problems don't seem to have been fixed yet. They are just posted about or moved in Problems and Fixes.

 

Funny you mention that, today I went for my longest drive yet (had the car since October) and drove from Ottawa to Toronto (about 550 km). When I was driving on highway 404 in Toronto I noticed a rattle for the first time!

My wife said it seemed to be coming from the front passenger floor area, where the legs rest. I heard it on the 401 as well but about 100 km from Toronto I couldn't hear it anymore.

Just last Friday I was going to take my car to get my windshield/dash squeaking fixed but that noise also went away for a while and if it can't be heard, it can't be fixed.

So here I am, with on and off noise issues... Like somebody here said once, she's a rattlebox, but I still love her. :|

 

Ive learn to love the rattles as if they were my children.
