Random Vibration Problem

Hey,

I've been having random vibrations from the front end of the car. Usually it goes away after a couple miles and the car drives normal. Sometimes it comes back and some times it doesn't come back at all. Sometimes I don't feel it at all. For the past week it seems to be getting worse. I went to the dealership (Leith Acura) yesterday and they charge me $35 to tell me that my tires were not balanced and that my right rear tire may have a defect. So since I had just bought the car 4 weeks ago and I knew that the tires on the car were new I went across the street to where I bought the car (Leith Audi) and they told me that tire were put on at (Leith Jaguar/Porsche) . So I went to (Leith Jaguar/Porsche) and they told me that the rear right does not have a defect and they balanced the tires.
So I drive the car home and at first no vibration and then half way home it started it again. Does any one have any idea what may be the problem?

Thanks

It seems like they are all owned by the same owner or group of owners. So you need to speak with someone "higher" up , to get this figured out. I say listed to what acura tells you and get it in writing and then bring it to where you got the tires done. Also if you can get the mechanic or service manager to make a call to the other dealership to help smooth things out that would be a bonus.

Might be cold tires or even a bad stretch (or stretches) of road. Since you're fairly new to the car, it may take a little getting used to. I've found the TSX is sensitive to both of the things I've mentioned, and you may need to experiment a little to perhaps count these out or not. That said, the first thing I would do is swap the front and rear tires. If the problem remains the same, then it could be what I've suggested above, or at least you might be able to rule out the tires. These little problems can be maddening (why many just live with them), and not always easy to diagnose.

ok I'll try that. I've had the tires balanced twice so I don't know what else to do. I called the Acura dealer told them that the Jaguar/Porsche dealer did the tires and I'm still getting the vibration and told them I want them to look at it again for free since that doesn't seem to be the problem and they charged me for basically driving my car down the road. We will see what happens Monday.

Ok, the dealer said it was a bent rim and sent me to a rim shop to get it fixed but its still vibrating at 55-60 but when I go up to 70-75 I dont feel it. Does any one what it could be?
