Radio Display / Clock Flicker
Radio Display / Clock Flicker
I have an '06 TSX, no NAVI. Just recently I started to notice that the lights for the radio display and the clock above the radio have started to flicker... Seems to only happen at lower speeds on bumps. Even then it isn't entirely consistent.
When the lights flicker, there does not seem to be any noticeable change in the audio output of the stereo. Meaning it does not get quieter or louder when the lights dim. Additionally, the lights do not go out for any extended period of time. When they flicker down they immediately brighten back up.
The lights in the console do NOT seem to flicker, leading me to believe that it is not a problem with the battery, alternator or any main battery connects / grounds.
I haven't even started to look into this problem yet, other than to try and narrow down when it occurs. I was oping someone else may have seen this and might have a quick fix.

I know there's a TSB for the HVAC lights (HVAC and radio controls are all one unit) - essentially HVAC replaced, but I think Acura knows exactly what the problem is so the entire unit doesn't need to be replaced. This happened to me several years ago - had my whole center console replaced.
