Attempting to install the filter but comptech didn't include a starter oil for the foam filter. I went to the local stores and all they had were KN kits with the cleaner and oil. I know theres is a cloth type filter but can i use KN filter oil on Uni foam filter?

 

nope...it says on the installation sheet that K&N's won't work

 

Give Comptech a call (oops, if they're still taking calls). The Icebox package should include an aerosol can with filter oil.

 

just realized one thing. what'll happen to icebox owners that needs the replacement oil/filter for the icebox? guess they all need to do a k&n filter mod

 

^^ either that or they'll have to scavenge e-bay or buy up what's left in inventory at Comptech or on various websites. I know a few members who have done just that.

 

meh, swap it for the K&N filter.

 

Google Uni Foam Filter Cleaner & Foam Filter Oil. I found this back in the day when I had a couple of Weapon-R foam intake filters. Motorcycles use foam filters and most shops sell this stuff. I know Legend Motorcycles out of Louisville sells it online.
