Question on Pearl White

Ordered our TSX in Pearl White and wondered if TSX owners can comment on the quality of the paint and relatively ease/difficulty in keep the car looking pristine.

Also, from your experience is Pearl White a hard color to match-up when doing a re-spray?

After 8 silver cars in a row, are looking forward to a change this time. I realize that a white car is relatively easier to keep looking clean compared to a black one.

TIA for your comments and suggestions.

The dealer drilled a hole in my front bumper to hold the license plate. I told them I wanted that hole fixed. They filled it in, painted it, and touched up some other nicks on the front bumper. Looks great!!

The color code is specified on the driver door frame, so there shouldn't be any problems matching the paint color.

I have the white... all i have to say is GREAT CHOICE!!!! Pretty easy to keep clean and it's the best color this car comes in. Also if you compare it to the other colors the car looks alot bigger. I feel like white makes the body look BIG! As is with anything the darker the color the more slim and narrow things look. Good luck with it and GOOD CHOICE!!!!

Thank you!

Thanks a million for all your feedback guys! We finally picked-up the car this morning and are very pleased with the outcome. Pearl White looks great on the TSX and is a welcome change to all the brilliant silver Benzes!

So far, the only additional options we opted for are fog lights and wheel locks.

What color interior did you get? I heard in Canada, you can get Ebony interior with Pearl White. Wish we can get that color combo here in the US.

I got Ebony interior with Pearl White. Really nice. In Canada, only 2 interior trims available: Ebony & Parchment.

Well with the pearl white....I've noticed that the dirt on the car doesn't spray right off. You always need to carry a little sponge, so when u are at the car wash, I need to give it a little scrub, than all the dirt comes off....

I am from canada, so with the tsx's here, there's no choice to the interior at all. with the red, you get the white interior, with black you get the white interior, red gets white interior, blue gets black interior and white gets black interior. Its all set! Is it different in the US?

All the US color combos are shown here

We have quartz (grey) here, which you don't, and some exterior colors are available with two interior colors. But Canada has the color combo I can't get here, white exterior/ebony interior !! Wonder how Acura determines which country gets which color combos.

I had it in to an excellent (well, they're usually excellent) shop to install the Invinca-Shield 3M stoneshields, and they reminded me that it's a three part process to repaint. They guessed about $1500 (US) to repaint the hood. I still chose the color knowing this, the caveat is that you should be picky about choosing a body shop for any paint work!

Why would they drill a hole if the car has a built in bracket under the bumper that hold the license plate???

There is actually a hole in the license plate bracket in the middle or the area behind the license plate itself,

Several people have reported the dealer used this additional hole to secure the holder.

As to why, Who knows

The dealer apologized and said it was because of a new employee who works in the detail shop, who was just following instructions from Acura. Maybe without the extra screw the plate might rattle against the front bumper? Doesn't matter to me, cuz I don't plan to use them.
