Question about exhaust

Hey all i have had my comptech exhaust for quite some time now and i recently noticed that you know when its cold and you start the car up. white smoke will come out of the tailpipes but it seems that it only comes out the left side. the drivers side has very little to none usually. is this unusual? any feedback would be appreciated thanks all.

That is condensation that is coming out of the exhaust, which you probably already know.

My guess as to why it only comes out of the passenger side is probably because it is the shortest path for the moisture to travel. Idle speed probably isn't enough to get the moisture to exit out of the driver side.

If you look at the distance of the driver side muffler to the "Y" split as opposed to the passenger side muffler it's a tad bit longer. That's my theory. As long as you feel exhaust gas coming out of the driver side I wouldn't be concerned.

If it really bugs you, try reving it just a tad, check your rearview and see if you have two trails of condensation. Which I think you will.

Well, I'm running stock exhaust and everything, and right now in Toronto, its like -12C, which is about 10F, and when I start the car in the cold, the condensation coming out is very even, coming out from both exhaust pipes.

It's pretty odd that from just after an exhaust system change that would change... maybe its got to do with the pressure?

Apparently the stock exhaust is more restrictive of air right? So maybe because the Comptech exhaust is more freeflowing, there's not enough pressure to push it out of both sides?

I don't know. Just my

Prior to installing the Greddy Evo 2, most of the exhaust gas would come out on the right side because you feel the pressure is higher on the right. After installing the Evo2, there's more pressure from both exhaust and it seems more even.
