Problems with vents

it seems that my floor vents are not working, at least correctly. when i switch modes to the bottom (feet mode) it barely comes out by the feet. it is freezing here in chicago and i need to keep my feet warm! even weirder is that when it is on that mode, the air seems to come out a lot of the middle level, chest area vents. this is really annoying,

HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM?

i dont think the air is supposed to be blown heavliy at the feet even when you put it in the feet mode.

what if people had stinky feet?

gross.

funny this thread reminds me of shania twain's song

...............
That don't impress me much
You think you're cool but have you got the touch
Don't get me wrong, yeah I think you're alright
But that won't keep me warm on the long, cold, lonely night
That don't impress me much

Do you feel any warm air at all?
Do you happen to have anything blocking the vents down there?

Make sure the face level vents right and left side are closed to maximize floor venting.

There is a dial under the left and right face level vents to manually adjust the air flow. I close them all the way to maximize floor venting.

Also make sure to adjust the fan speed with the adjustment switch at the bottom left of the controls. These vents are not fan driven on their own. The same blower motor operates the entire system for the upper and lower airflow. The piping for the lower venting has a longer path to follow additionally.

I hadn't noticed air coming from the middle vents when on feet setting, but I agree that the TSX feet setting doesn't have very good "blowage" compared to just about anything else I've ever driven. I assumed it had to do with splitting the air flow to also provide air to the little vents under the front seats, instead of providing a second heating unit/fan for the rear passengers. Hasn't really been an issue, though as the car always seems warm enough.
