problem with the oem mp3 player

hello.
i recently purchased the oem mp3 player. installation was a breeze.
but there seems to be a problem though.
it's like this: whenever i press the on button on the head unit even though the display say CD-P, but it will output some random xm radio channel then within a few minutes (when the disc has finished loading) the player will start playing the song on the disc simutaneously. so i'm listening to both xm and cd at the same time. i tried pulling radio fuses and negative terminal on the battery, but neither trick worked. any insights?

all you need to do is recycle the mode button. You will have to do this everytime you turn the ingnition off and restart the car if you leave the mode in Mp3 when you cut the car off. It a pain, but it does not bother me.
