Power Steering Pump Whine..cold AMs
Anyone else getting a PS pump whine for about a minute on cold startups? I heard (read) TLs have this issue and the hose o-rings need to be replaced.

My TSX does this too. I have a leak in one of the seals of the rack and pinion, so the whine is due to low PS fluid in the pump. Unfortunately the dealer told me that they can't fix the seal, so they have to replace the entire rack.
Have you checked you PS fluid?

there is a leak which is bringing the air into the system hence the noise....
when you turn the car on you will notice bubbles in the PS reservoir....this could cost you $500 at the dealer or $1 at Acurazine

well anyway you are better of changing the o-ring before the pump itself...
