Power Steering issues 08 TSX

Hey guys,

I need your opinions......

I have a 08 TSX with 40K which I bought into the dealer yesterday for the Power Steering Rack Squeaks.

They called me today and said that they have to replace the whole rack and first wanted to charge me $2,000+. They said I have a leak in the rack thus causing the noise. I went back and told them they need to look at the TSB for the power steering and plus my car is still under warranty until 62K.

After looking up the information, I was correct thus solving the issue of who would pay for it but, they are saying that I will also need a wheel alignment. Which I can see the reason why possibly but, should I have to pay for the alignment as well? Doesn't make sense since it should be covered under warranty?

What do you guys think? Anyone experience anything similiar?

The rack they are going to replace it with is a remanufactured one and not a new one.

I'd say since it's under warranty and the wheel alignment would be necessary due to replacing the power steering rack, it should all be done under warranty.
