Power Outlets: On When Off?

Alright! Just got my TSX on Sunday. I dig it so far man. I just want to drive everywhere. And living in Northern VA/Washington D.C. Metro area, you have to!

Ok, I have a somewhat silly question, but one that has gotten me into trouble with my past ride, an '01 VW Jetta GLX. It concerns the power outlets. I left my iPod charger plugged into my VW when I first got it and, much to my dismay, it drained the battery eventually. Slowly...but surely.

Does anyone know for sure if the power outlets are deactivated when the car is off? Meaning things that are plugged into it are not sucking juice from the car battery?

I'm fairly confident that the outlets are in fact deactivated because I notice that the blue LED screen on the iPod charger turn on and off with the ignition. But hey, just thought I'd ask you people.

The power outlet in honda's turn off with the ignition. It's been like that for a couple of decades...so that you don't drain your battery like in your VW.
