plastic windguard left markings on hood of car

plastic windguard left markings on hood of car
So I took my plastic windguard off the hood of my car (right in front of the moonroof), and it left markings around where it was placed. Do I need to use car wax to get this off, or something tougher? I'm curious too, what is your guys' favorite car wax?
