Part next to glovebox ?

Part next to glovebox ?

While checking out my glove box for rattles I noticed the side part as per the image below.
Was wondering how this part connects? You can clearly see the gap on the pictures below.
The rubber weather seal is correctly in place, already checked that.

Its a end panel. There is nothing that a normal user would need to access behind it. It looks like yours may be off slightly. There are a number of clips behind it. You can try to remove it and replace the clips as needed.

The part number for your specific piece is:
77109-SEC-A51ZC
PANEL ASSY., INSTRUMENT (LOWER) *YR240L*
( LIGHT CREAM IVORY )

And the clips are:
90302-SA4-003
NUT, SPRING (4MM)
