Parked, ignition in ACC (I), parking lights on => quiet hum

So I was talking with my gf in the garage, engine/lights off, igntion in LOCK (0). Just sitting with key in the ignition (off), and still holding a conversation via the HFL. I turned on the parking lights for just a moment ... and she said, "woah, what's that? sounds like an 18-wheeler's horn or something?" I said I couldn't hear a thing, and turned off the lights. She said, "There, it's gone." Turned the parking lights back on, and she said the noise returned. I turned the igntion to LOCK (0) while talking to her, turned the parking lights back on, and she heard the noise.

I figured it was an HFL issue. But then after hanging up (and HFL dropped the Bluetooth connection), everything off, windows up, I turned on the parking lights again. Dead quiet. I then turned the igntion to ACCESSORY (I), and I heard this very faint little hum. Turned the lights off, the hum goes away. Turn them on again, the hum returns. Turn the ignition back to LOCK (0)(with the parking lights still on), hum goes away.

So in summary, in 1) ignition to ACCESSORY (I), 2) parking lights on, there's a faint hum in the "cockpit." Turn off parking lights, OR turn ignition to LOCK (0), and hum disappears, but not for remote callers on a cell phone conversation via HFL.

Anyone got an inkling what is making the sound?

(Note: someone in 2005 encountered a humming installing an AUX input, so I tried unplugging the cable that I usually have connected to the AUX port in the armrest. No effect. The audio system is off while this is happening, BTW.)

The hum she heard was a grounding issue, I believe.

Only had it on battery, though, not while the engine was running.
