Paint not sticking?

Hello all, first time tsx owner here.

I love my car, I just got it a month ago,and I was thinking about putting a lip kit on it.

I a lip kit from my family this past christmas and it looks amazing. I prepped and painted all the parts and attached them, except the back side. The back lip kit seems to not hold the paint very well. I tried almost everything, but the paint just doesnt seem to stick. I don't know what else to do.

Can you guys be of assistance and maybe point me in the right direction as to what I can possibly do to make the paint stick?

Don't knock rattle can paint completely. I've used rattle cans with fantastic results. It all comes down to using the right paint and the right prep techniques.

Vatsup69, what paint are you using. When you're painting plastic you need to use a primer or adhesion promoter that's meant for the type of plastic you're working with. Generally it is easier to get better results with an air gun because you can mix he paint with whatever additives you need (adhesion promoter) with the paint. Some paint shops will be able to mix the paint you need into a spray can for you.

well you see, I quit on it, so I am having my friend do it for me now, and he is pretty good with cars and painting and has alot of experience. I am pretty sure he is using a gun and that he sands it and preps it well. The kit is fiberglass and came black opaque color"ready to paint".

Is there anything he can do to make the paint stick, like paint adhesive, I've heard of this but do not really know if it is necessary.

I can ask him the paint type and everything, but I am almost certain he is using the silver factory color that is adjacent with my car color.
