Exclamation P0506 Code help

I have an 05 TSX automatic with 73k miles, and I was caught in the crazy rain storm yesterday in New Jersey. I was in the highway and had to drive through a badly flooded section. I switched to ss mode and maintained the gear and drove through. I thought all was well but now I am getting the following check engine light code "P0506". Is my car toast now? I still have warranty up to 97k miles and I do have full coverage insurance. What should I do? I'm nervous that this is going to be something huge.

Just wanted to give an update. I have the comptech icebox with the K&N air filter. I checked the air filter and it was ultra dirty with leaves stuck on the filter as well as leaves in the box as well. I swapped the air filter out with a brand new K&N air filter I had in the trunk. I also cleared out the leaves. I cleared the error code and drove around for half an hour or so in stop and go traffic as well as the highway. I floored it a few times. The error code has not come back yet.

One thing I noticed is that the lower snorkel piece of the comptech icebox had fallen off. It must have came loose at one point. I'll eventuallly have to pull it out and reattach it.

I had to drive in that mess Friday night, too. 90 miles in pouring rain up to NY...it was not a pleasant drive. Hopefully a new filter and cleaning the leaves and stuff out is enough to stop the code from reappearing.

I had my own issues with the car as well. Will probably post a thread on that soon.

P0506 is ""Idle Control System RPM Lower Than Expected".

Primary trouble shooting step is removing intake duct from throttle body and check for "dirt, carbon, or damage".

Hopefully, your filter obstruction was the cause. If the dealership has seen the K & N installed, you might find it difficult to get a covered repair for throttle body damage, as K & N filters do not do a good job of filtering certain sizes and types of particles...one of the trade-offs in using them vs. paper filters. They might squwak about the Ice-Box too...but with a normal filter you can win that one.
