Obnoxious creaking sound in dash
I moved this to the problem fix thread... As the title says, my 05 tsx has an extremely annoying creaking sound coming from the dash. I have run the searchs and am aware of the windshield issue. Just not sure if that is what mine has. It happens mostly in the morning after hitting a bump it is constant on freeway etc. Very spastic ticky creaky sound, if I push on many different places it can stop and start it, seems like the center console affects it most. But it also seems like it could be coming from top of dash. If anyone has had this and can guide me to a fix I will be very thankful! Please help, this is driving me nuts! Ps ussually after the day goes on it won't do it at all, so it is intermitant.
Thanks in advance!!!!
also worth mentioning, it appears it is most affected when I press on drivers side lower left trim by the center console (stereo/ac control unit) closer to the ac unit. Sure hope someone can point me in the right direction, I've pulled the kick panel under steering wheel and the coin tray under stereo, but haven't been able to locate this nasty little noise to attempt a fix. Thanks again

It may not be the same, but my 03 Accord (same as 1st gen. TSX) had a large flip-up door covering a storage compartment in the centre console, below the heater controls. This made a ticking type noise when it was closed, but was ok when open. I managed to stop it by stuffing an old t-shirt into the compartment and then pushing the door closed against the resistance of the t-shirt. This put pressure onto the latch and stopped the noise.
I suspect the ticking sound was being caused by the opening/closing mechanism but, after curing it with the t-shirt, I never bothered to investigate further.
