Well just learned a big lesson, never wash your rod with terry clothe towels after they sat all winter in the garage.


Any thoughts on how to fix this mess?

I don't know if you can fix that.

You might just need to get the Mugen grill, or maybe find someone that has swapped out their OEM and is willing to sell it.

 

What the? Hohw did u manage to do that with just towels?

Anyways.... goto the black market section and post up a "WTB". There are plenty of members here that have upgraded their grills. Maybe one is willing to sell one to you.

 

ermm yeah dont feel bad. most of mine is gone... well speckeled. i was REALLY pissed at the quailty of the grill... i mean come on the "chrome" shouldnt come off

 

Just finished washing all my rags a few days ago......... use liquid detergent.

 

Time for JDM "H" grill or mugen..

 

you can buy a replacement OEM one from someone who replaced theirs with a Mugen or JDM
