Normal to hear AC system adjusting vent airflow?

This is a strange question, but are you guys able to hear when the A/C system automatically adjust the airflow from the vents? I run my A/C on auto all the time, and as the temperature changes, I can hear the system adjust the airflow from say just the front vents next to the center console to biflow, with the air coming out of the front and lower vents. If it's quiet, I can hear the vents closing automatically. It's a little more obvious than I thought it should be. I've never heard the vents opening or closing (behind the dash) before in any other car. I'm sure this is normal, but I wanted to know if others have heard this sound. It's not loud or anything, but I can definitely hear the airflow shift and some mechanical nose of the vent traps moving to redirect the airflow in the dash. I doubt there's any parts that can be serviced inside the vents, but I don't remember being able to hear the auto A/C system opening/closing the internal air vents when I first bought the car. Maybe there's something I can lube within the dash area under the glovebox and maybe under the kickboards on the driver's and passenger's side?

Like you, I run the climate control in AUTO pretty much 12 months a year. Though I can't say that I can hear the vents opening and closing, I can certainly feel the change in airflow, temperature, and the change in fan speed. Could this be what you're actually experiencing?

Yeah the sound of the air changing vents is normal. What I'm hearing is that sound plus what sounds lick the plastic vent blockers in the dash. So when the vents change from top to bottom or both, I hear a slight "clack" of something closing off the airflow. It's not loud or anything, but it sounds like whatever stops the airflow to the vents and changes the direction is getting louder over the years.

yes I can hear them, but only when idling, certainly not when driving with all the road noise.
