I recently purchased two new key fobs from ebay for my '04 tsx. I programmed them, along with reprogramming the one original that i didn't lose, and they lock the doors and open the trunk. However, the two i purchased from ebay will not unlock the car. The original works fine. The only thing i can think of, is that the remotes are for memory 1, but my car doesn't have memory seats. I was told this wasn't a problem as long as the fcc code matched, which it does.

Was I misinformed?

 

You bought fobs with seat memory. Just follow the instructions on the back of the key fob to stop transmitting the memory seat tag and they should work fine.

Sure, it was a dumb question but the answer was not as intuitive as some would believe. a) Up until now i never new that you had to disable the memory function in order to get the doors to unlock (not on fob) and b) the font on the back of the fob is really, really small... I mean, who is going to want to read that?

 

LOL, don't beat yourself up. It has happened to a few folks doing the 07 TL mod.

 

I replace my drivers window switch and it let me reprogram the key fob but now it only locks pops trunk and panick but won’t unlock the doors what should I do is window switch the wrong one?
or do I need tk reprogram and turn off seat memory or do I need a different window switch?
