My transmission has died (see previous post ) and im 6,000 over warranty, thank god the nice people at Acura are going to replace it on goodwill. I have a M/T and they are replacing the actual tranny and having me pay for the clutch. They want almost $500 for the clutch. Im a female and dont know much about clutches, but I want to try to find something cheaper. I have searched a little and the searches come back with clutch cases...bearings...and other parts???? I have no idea what all those parts are. I just want to order the same thing acura is having me buy but I dont know exactly what I need. So any input would be great!

 

Usually during a clutch replacement you would want to replace the following:
1. Clutch disc
2. Pressure plate
3. Throw out bearing
4. Pilot bearing

Expect to pocket out high dollars at dealers. You can check around online and you can find them half of the dealers price.
