need help

long story short my engine got flooded with water when my sister drove it through high water and has hail damage all over the car when we had a nasty storm couple weeks ago. heres my dilemma my insurance totaled out the car cause they said it would cost 13000 to fix which i find is kinda bs, this is on a 06 tsx with 65k miles, car has been very well taken care of.. my question is that either take the offer of 17k so they pay off the lien on the car or keep the car and get 10k but the 10 k has to go towards payin off the lien since its was 16k but they are taking 6k for "buy back" of my own car...any advice or help is welcome.. hate to see the car go

well first you should look into the use of punctuation. It's a weird idea I know.

Take the money and get a new car - flood damage is awful and hail damage to the body? why would you want to fix it. Sounds like you owe 10K. Pay it off and take the 7 as a nice chunk of change towards another 06 - get a 6 speed with Navi and then call Hondata

Get rid of it, it's toast. It will give you nothing but problems if you try to fix it after water damage. Could have electrical problems in addition to the engine. And hail damage on top of that? No thanks. You are better off taking the money and getting something else.

I agree-get rid of it-not worth trying to fix it-
