Navigation Bracket

I tried putting a system in the back of the trunk but the Navigation Bracket hangs down too low. This forced me to move my system to the front on the trunk leaving no room for anything else. Is there any way to move the bracket up to leave room for the system to slide back?

Let me know...

I found the braclet to be in the way when I built my box as well. Just head over to homedepot/lowes/menards/etc and get some metal and fabricate your own... Here is a pic of the one I made last summer.

It holds the DVD player up alot higher than the stock one. It you make your own, just make sure to add holes where the vents are on the DVD-Rom so it does not overheat or anything...

What do you mean, "just make sure to add holes where the vents are on the DVD-Rom so it does not overheat or anything"

Where are they?

About how much did it cost you to make your own?

There as holes on the sides of the dvd-rom, you'll see them when you pull it out. They are to allow air to circulate through it so it does not overheat. If you make a new bracket that blocks these holes, the unit could die, and you don't want that.

A sheet of aluminum like i used might set you back in the neighbookhood of $5-$15 depending on size and local prices. I picked aluminum because it's easy to work with. If I had more tools, I would have used a stronger metal and made the bracket look nicer, but the cheap aluminum is holding up nicely.
