Hi you all, i know this has been covered many times but i recieved my 2004 tsx yesterday,i live overseas in Jordan,we do not have acura dealer here,the car came empty,no navi cd,no owner manual,no navi or radio codes and no remote transmitter.

No navi means no AC or radio.

The car was bought from NH with Massachusetts salvage title #BF 262461
VIN# JH4CL959X4C011171

If anyone can help i would realy apprciated it.

I am asking too much i know but it worth a try.

Navi and radio are separate, and the A/C should be separate from the navi. (unless the 04 navi is much different from the 06). If you open your glove compartment while sitting in the driver's seat, you should see a sticker with the codes on it. If not, you'll have to try to contact a dealer to get the information (I don't know if a honda dealer would be able to access it).

As for the navi dvd, I don't know if a honda dvd would work in the navi system. Maybe if you can borrow one from a friend or something to try it before you buy one.

 

Thank you for response,i did not find any codes in fuse box,glove or trunk.I will look behind the glove & search other places in the car,i am hopeful.

So if i do not DVD what do i loose? Navi. to satellite is not set yet in Jordan.

 

It's on the side of the glove box. It's not in the fuse box or trunk. There's only one place they would put it.

Without the DVD, you won't be able to see the navi maps. Everything else should work I believe.

still no codes,i emailed acura dealer hope they can help.

 

Try going onto Acura OwnersLink website, I noticed there is a new link there that lets you retrieve radio/navi codes if you input the VIN and some kind of phone number/address details of who is the registered owner of the vehicle.

But I'm not sure if it would work if you aren't the original owner and bought new.

Go to Acura OwnerLink, create an account, then add your car to your account, then there is a link to "get radio/navi code". Some kind of new automated system. Great idea, IMO.

 

i tried registering with acura but the site asked for previous owner info. zip & phone # to give me codes.
The good info i got was the name of dealer who sold the car new.
I will call them soon.

 

BTW, the Service Manager at the dealer I bought my CPO from told me that the number codes for the keys, as well as the radio code, are in a database that they can easily look up for me. Maybe you ought just go to your local Acura dealer, show them your registration/title and ask them look it up.

Well i called Acura dealer in MA (prime Acura)with vin# but they only need serial#s
for Navi. & Radio to look up pin #.
I took the Navi. & radio off today got serial #s called dealer back & they gave me
two pin #s one 4 digit & the other 5 digit.
I will try those pin#s tomorrow.
