My new 2006 TSX drifts while driving

Just bought a new 2006 TSX. It generally drifts towards the slope of the road. However the drift is generally to the right on a flat road. Since the tire pressures are correct, it appears to be an alignment issue. The drift is not severe, but enough to be an annoyance. I seem to be correcting it all the time while driving.

I also own a 2003 TL Type S with the same problem from day one. The dealer tried realignment, switching of tires and nothing helped. In the end, the dealer concluded that the lower profile tires used on these vehicles make them drift with the slope of the road. I have been living with this problem on my TL.

Has anyone else experienced this problem with their TSX and found a solution?

It is due to the lower profile wheels/tires. I have a 94 integra, and when I put 205/40/17's on it drifted towards the right (probably because most roads are crowned a little). I put my old wheels on (14") and the problem dissapeared. I don't know whether its the wider tires or the shorter sidewall, but its the tires for sure.

If you search around you'll find its a relatively common problem. The TSX is particularly sensitive to the slope or crown of the road and wil tend to drift in the downsloping direction.

I have experienced the exact same thing with my 06. It is due to road crowning on the roadways. I find that on flat roads such as parking lots, there is no problem at all. Perfectly normal.

It's a result of the wider tire, the lower profile, and the crowning of the road.

BTW, jlukja, on the avatar.

I have a 2005 TSX and my car drifts to the left. Then when I got alignments done and the tires rotated the drift switched. I took it to Discount Tires and they said one of my tires cured wrong so I got a new tire (since I bought the warranty). The car is better but it still drifts depending on the road. It's real annoying. I'm started to get buyer's remorse.
