Music Link Wierdness

Music Link Wierdness
For a number of reasons, we decided to get a music link in our 2006, non-nav. Dealer installed it, so while I've reviewed the installation instructions I don't know how it was actually installed. We're getting used to the interface...
Anyway, here is the deal -- I can make the Music Link play (5G ipod, most recent firmware) fine. It sounds great, TTS is active, and it appears all controls are functional. Then, I turn the car off.
When I turn the car back on, the ipod plays, the CD indication is displayed, but I also hear the XM Preview (in other words, I hear both the ipod and the XM Preview at the same time). Cycling through the XM/Aux button to get back to the Music Link resolves the two channel issue. But I don't want to have to press the XM/Aux button 4 or 5 times every time I turn on the car...

Anyone... Bueller?
I've worked on the symptoms a bit, and it appears that the Music Link and XM 2 (not XM 1 or the CD changer) are playing at the same time. And, it only occurs after the following (1) playing the ipod through the Music Link; (2) turning the car off and taking out the key; and (3) turning the car back on.
So... does anyone know how the Head Unit resets itself for an input source? Does it reset after the car is turned off, or does that require the key to be removed? What is the input necessary to select one device over another?

Music Link is clearly a beta release
I have the same problem that you describe. However, that is small potatoes to the rest of the annoyance that the TTS software creates. When I synch my ipod (30GB color 4G), iTunes takes about a minute, assuming no major changes in the library. Then I launch TTS and tell it to proceed. Rather than check for changes, like every other synching software I know, it erases its data and recreates the little sound files it uses to announce albums, artists, etc. This takes at least 1 1/2 hour each time. I now only do this when I am asleep, but it is a significant annoyance. Anyone have any ideas?

sucks to hear that music link is not working very well. pretty sad considering all the ads for the 2006 TSX show the ipod hooked up to the car. its amazing how piss poor Quality Assurance is for products sometimes.
