maitenance light serviced

Hi all,
I just had my car serviced (10K) and it was a whopping 140 dollars. I was thinking they were just going to turn off the light and change the oil. But anyways, I was reading the bill and it had a bunch of additives. Do you know if this is really needed?

MOA Oil Additive for 11.95
MI 3000 for 12.95

I have to admit that the car was alittle more peppy than perviously, but that may be because I just paid 140 and trying to justify. I was wondering if the additives gave the car that extra "power" or what did they do to make it drive better?

That's it! I'm opening my own service shop so I can start jacking people around too.

Your 10K mile light is to change oil and rotate tires. How they slipped Oil Additives in is amazing. That's almost as good as the dude who really thought an oil change should be $60.

I'm telling you I should get in on this gig.

Just remember this. If you paid $140 for this simple service, imagine the bill when the 20K light comes on.

I think you turn off the car, turn it to ACC with the RESET button held in and it resets. BUT...RTFM it's in there.

On Acura's you have the car off with the key in the "off" position. Press and hold both the "select" and the "reset" button(the ones you use to reset your trip., etc..) with both button's pressed turn the key to the "on" position- but not running. Continue to hold both button's and the light will go out in about 10 seconds. Do NOT let up on either of the buttons for the 10 seconds or until the light goes out and try to press them again quickly all you will do is reset your trip! I have not paid attention in my shop yet but all acura's seem to be the same in this regard, so I assume the TSX's are the same.

The TSX has only one button for select and reset functions, not two. So you only have to hold down one button while you turn the key.
