Loud squeek when braking at low speeds

I've noticed within the last 3 weeks or so when braking around turns say in a parking lot or coming to a stop where I have to turn I hear a pretty loud squeeking noise coming from the front of the car. This is always below 5 mph. Do our stock brake pads go out this fast? I have 25k miles on the car. I havn't noticed a decline in braking power and don't ever hear the noise when braking in a straight line or at speed even going through corners.

There was a pad material at one time that made some noises on 04 USDM Accords and 03-04 TSXs at low speeds and generally when the brakes were newer, but it was more of a grinding noise than a squeeking noise. Could be that you have some dust or sand that has gotten between the pad lining and has crystalized a bit.

I've changed my brakes out with 35k miles on the car and probably had another 20k of lining to go. Just wanted something with more performance.

I've noticed the same thing on mines. I have 22K on my brakes. I only notice the noise when making sharp turns in parking lots

I've started noticing this recently too. It only happens when I start driving, before the car is warmed up. When I brake at very low speeds (for example, when leaving the parking lot), I hear a squeak sound from the brakes. Could it mean I'm low on brake fluid or something?

Not an issue of brake fluid but of the pad material. If you hear it on startup (ie the brake pads are cold and the disks are cold) no biggie... fairly normal. If you hear the squeek after driving around for a while, then you more than likely have grains of sand/dust/foreign material of microscopic size in the pad. Again, more annoying than harmful.

Do the TSX brakes have a wear sensor/indicator? Might that be the source?

TSX brake has loud sensor, just like everyone honda/acura car has, when its getting 20% thin it will have a loud squeaky noise, start at low speed stopping, then it will gradually making loud noise all the time, even when u drive, fast or slow.. time to get that pad changed, im at 23K and changed rear pad
