Thumbs up Looking for Honda mechanic in Dallas/Fort worth area

Hi All,

Can any of you recommend a good Honda mechanic in the DFW area? I need to install few parts for my 05 TSX, so would like pay for the Labor only.

Thanks in advance.

The problem you have is most reputable shops make money on the parts too, so they don't like to install parts bought elsewhere.

When I did this with a Mini, I simply went to my usual mechanic at the dealer and offered him cash to do the work after hours, himself.

Otherwise, I spoke to the Roanoke Christian Brothers Shop and they were OK installing parts I bought...as it turned out, I got it done myself pretty easily.

What did you have that you need installed? I'm a pretty good shadetree and usually work on my own stuff (2 motorcycles and an '86 Prelude as far as Hondas go). If it's something that can be done in an afternoon or evening let me know and maybe I can help.

I forgot to add I'm hopefully going to get a TSX in the next couple days so I'd love to see how they're put together.

Thanks for ur response. But I am looking for an Honda certified mechanic, they are way cheaper than the dealership. I knew few of those mechanics when I was in the east coast.
These are the things which I want to do;
1. Resurface all 4 rotors.
2. Replace all 4 brake shoes.
3. Replace water pump.
4. Replace driving belt.

If you know anyone who is a certified mechanic, who can work on the above items.

Cal....

1. Waste of time. Acura rotors are too prone to warp anyway, and resurfacing makes them more so. Replace them, it's not expensive...check out Heel-Toe for rotor and pad packages.

2. See above.

3. OK, I see what you need.

4. Huh? TSX has a chain, not a belt. Perhaps the serpentine belt?

There are two import shops that advertise working on Honda/Acura vehicle in the Mid-Cities (one on Hwy 10, Hurst...one on 157 in Euless). No experience, but for what you want done, almost anyone can do it.
