For all having connection problems with
Apple iPhone 3G & Acura Hands Free Bluetooth...

Unfortunately, there is a HUGE firmware issue regarding iPhone 3G
and those who are currently using firmware v2.1 or greater. The phone does NOT connect and or work propely at ALL!

FW 2.1 and or higher is completely screwed up and is a running disaster
for Acura HF users. Unfortunately, There is ONLY one solution to this problem and that is to REVERT back to original iPhone 3G firmware v2.0.

Apple is well aware of the issues, a new firmware is expected shortly though a source tells me that the connection issues might not be even fixed on the upcoming release so you might want to hold off on any FW upgrades forced by APPLE or iTUNES.

To find out which firmware version you currently have, on your iPhone go to Settings>General>About>Version. There you will see your firmware version.

You can LEGALLY and with all good will DOWNLOAD
3G FW 2.0 via APPLES web site. Here is a direct link.

Quick How To Restore:

Download the FW and place it in a folder on your desktop.
Start iphone in itunes and look for the RESTORE function.
*** HOLD SHIFT BUTTON DOWN while clicking RESTORE and a window will pop up allowing you to manually choose the FW file you downloaded, go forward, restore and all will be working back to NORMAL with HF.

Note ALL will be erased on your phone to standard factory settings inc pix, phonebook, etc.

Though I would pass the info for the few who might be batting their heads against the wall wondering why their phones do not work properly.
