okae... when i drive i can hear my injen intake and it sounds great.... only until 6000 rpms... anything over that the intake makes a horrible sound ... a sound like something is grinding... is this normal?

 

injen vibrates a bit over 6K making that sound, it's normal according to Injen and I haven't had an issue with mine and it makes the same sound

 

you also have to remember that vtec kicks in at 6000, which changes the engine sound. I can hear it very loudly through my injen intake

 

I get my Injen Cold Airintake this week. I hope I can hear then that I installed an Injen CAI. My transmission is automatic.......

Will it make a better sound when you compare it with the original?

My ride is an Honda Accord 2.4 Type S (EUR)

 

It makes a much better sound. I would check your vibra-mounts mike. They are those rubber pads that screw on. I made sure mine were very tight fitting. Also check to see if the washer is above the metal part as it should be. IMO once you rev past 6000 RPMS the injen sounds even better. Also, check you seals where the down pipe meets the standard intake tube. You might need to retighten the clamps
