Initial Thud Noise (Part II)

All,

After doing a little research, I have concluded that this is NOT a normal sound (please read earlier post regarding Initial Thud Noise if you're not familiar with the sound) and I'm planning on taking my TSX in and getting it fixed. Some people have explained that this sound is "normal" because of the ABS, but I disagree. I've found that people with cars that have ABS don't have this sound issue. And just because many of us, if not everyone, is exhibiting this, it doesn't mean it's "normal". It could mean that it's probably is a defect of the car.
Every morning (minimum) I hear this noise when I first drive my car. I'm not even trying to listen for it, for those who have mentioned that you have to pay attention to hear it. It really is that noticeable. If you keep the radio off, chances are you'll hear this the first time you drive during the day (at least).
I'm planning on bringing in my TSX sometime to let them know of this issue. Chances are, they'll say that it's "normal", but I think if enough of us get our cars checked out, they'll have to investigate it more in-depth. My concern is that this sound could lead to a bigger issue sometime down the road. What bothers me the most is that this is a brand new car.
For those of you who have this issue as well and wrote back earlier, thank you.

The sound is your ABS solenoid. It is in fact normal. I got it on my old TL, My 04 TL has it, my RSX had it and my TSX has it. I even got it on my Toyota truck. It's not a problem just get used to it. When the car is dead cold and the power assist builds up the pressure on the brake system right after the car starts the solenoid clicks to equalize the pressure in the ABS module. Really, it is nothing to worry over.

My TSX does it, my Pathfinder does it (although it sounds different) and so does my Accord. It's normal.

This is absolutely normal. It is test engaging the ABS system. Older cars with ABS didn't do this and their ABS systems often failed after a few years because they didn't get any use. This testing of the ABS make sure that the parts are kept in working order.

I hear the same sound on my TSX.

But my other vehicles (Nissan Desert Runner, Hyndai santa fe, Chevy Astro, and my dads Lincon LS) with ABS don't make that noise. I don't think its normal for ABS, but maybe it is for Honda/Acura.
