Ignition Switch

Hello all. I own a 2005 TSX with 273K miles. My baby still holding on. I'm hoping it can last a bit longer because car prices are still insane at the moment. In any event, I recently noticed that occasionally when I start the car, there is an electrical buzzing sound like an electrical short. I originally thought my starter was dying (which i replaced a few years ago) but a Google search pointed me to the ignition switch. It costs about $30 to $60 depending on where you get it. It was relatively easy to replace and the electrical buzzing sound is gone. Thank goodness it wasn't the starter since it is a pain to replace.

Good post. Yes, the buzzing sound is a ignition switch issue. I've replaced ALL switches on my Honda/Acuras. It seems to be a common issue.
