like a steel nut, that would f- up your engine, right?
i was installing my p2r TB spacer and gaskets. i was putting on the second nut to get out the last stud, and it freaking fell. i'm pretty sure it didn't fall into the IM b/c it seemed to rattle downward as it fell, but i couldn't find it at all. i even tried probing the IM with my magnet, and nothing stuck.
i started the car later, and it was fine.
i just need some reassurance here. lol. i'm such a freaking retard for dropping it in the first place. more on the p2r install later.

yeah. that's what i'm hoping.
i even tried probing the inside of the IM with my magnet, but nothing stuck to it. it's a small area, and i'm sure if the nut was in there, the magnet would've picked it up.

I actually almost had this issue myself... while installing my Topspeed header in the fall, I dropped one of the nuts for connecting the two pieces. I thought it had fallen to the ground, and I figured I'd pick it up after connecting the other two bolts. Well, I finish up, and as I moved the header to pick it up, I heard a rattle. The damn nut was inside the header piping! That could just have been embarassing if I installed it that way.

lol. actually, when i was putting the clamp back on for the tubing to the TB, i dropped that screw too and was like 'F--CK!!! NOT AGAIN!!' thankfully, it didn't fall all the way down.
if it were a bolt, i'm sure it'd be easier to spot and probably would catch something and get lodged. but the nut (only 12mm) is relatively small and probably fell all the way to the bottom. i tried looking again yesterday in the engine bay. nothing. i started up the car again, seemed fine. i'm just going to have to let it go an assume everything's ok. it's not like i can take the IM off on the side of the street.
