Homelink works but old remote doesn't
Hey guys,
I recently programmed my homelink to open my garage door and the button works fine.
The problem is that the original garage door opener remote doesn't work anymore. The reason I still need it is because my fiancee is living with me so I gave her the remote.
Has anyone had this problem?
Thanks,
Jeff

Some garage door openers have a limited number of codes that can be used. When you add another, ie: your TSX's homelink transmitter, you kick out an old one. Try reprogramming the door opener with the remote you want to use.

Yeah, make sure the old remote is still usable (batteries, internals working, etc). I would think that if it is a single door unit that it is possible only 1 remote channel is available. In that case, the manufacturers might offer a plug-in giving you additional remote capability.

Yeah I'll try repogramming the old remote with the door opener. It is in working conidition because it worked right before I programmed the homelink.
Thanks for the help guys!
