Question High flow cat or straight pipe?

Hey guys I'm new. I just have a quick question.

i ordered 2 walker factory replace mufflers. And a new deep toned resonator. I also ordered a header and an injen intake, I wanna get a small tune good for 20hp as well.

I have a baby and I wanna keep the car quiet while still gaining fair power.

I was gonna take the mufflers and resonator to a shop and have them replace after the cat 2.5inch till the split pipe then 2 inch from there.

I've been trying to decide if I wanna gut the cat or replace the cat or get some sort of straight pipe with a sensor simulator. I've ordered a simulator already in case.

what's the best bet.

I'm not gonna spend $300 on a high flow cat. I do live in a place with no emissions. Would there be any change(in power) f I got a new cat what was non CARB compliant.

Sorry guys it's late and like I said I have a baby.

I drive a 2004 TSX!!

Un-catalyzed fumes aren't healthy for a baby....

But, test pipes are cheap if you're down to be negligent .

I'm being honest, your exhaust mods are a bad decision. The K series sounds awful out of the exhaust. And all this is going to rust apart soon enough.

Maybe just stick with the intake and send your ECU to Hondata for reflash. That should be good for 20+HP in the midrange. It won't wake up your baby or expose your baby to massive levels of carbon monoxide.

I'm actually not gonna touch the cat until it's got 170k or more on it. But I'm gonna do the exhaust. I've heard some damn good sounding RSX'S, and that's a K20.
plus I've already ordered a header..
