Okay, this is for my dad 05 tsx. His hid light went out one night driving home from work. So I thought it was the bulb that was messed up so I changed the bulb. It still doesn't work. Then after I kept changing the bulbs around, I started seeing smoke coming out of the housing. So I quickly turned off the light and see what was the smoke coming from. It was the ballast. It smelled so fried. There was water in it. Then I bought another 06 tsx Oem ballast and put it on and it turned on. Then it start twitching and then turn off. I changed to oem bulb and it twitch a lot then turn off. What can be the problem? Is it the wire harness for the bulb that connect to the ballast that is messed up too? I'm afraid the water got into the wire harness and messed it up too? I'm thinking about just buyin a brand new DDm hid kit but I tried using my aftermarket hid ballast but idk how to connect it to the oem harness from the car. I heard there's an adapter or something. Can someone please help me what I should buy or do. My dad need his car to go to work.

 

It could be the ignitor going out. Just heads up, the ballasts from 06-08 TSXs will work but are not a perfect fit. If you want to go aftermarket, there are D2S/D2R adapters for those ballasts as well.
