HID aiming issue

So I had 8K HID's couldn't see anything so went back to my stockers, however now it seems my fogs are lighting up the same amount or distance as my headlights. Example; turn the fogs off and the HID cut off line visually appears to be in the same spot the fogs were reaching. No one is flashing their brights at me on the road and my HID's deffinately don't seem as bright as they were before I swapped them in the first place. So my question is, are my lights aimed super low? Or maybe high? Because I've had this issue with standard halogens being both low or high. Can someone shed some light on this?

I thought the HIDs are auto levelling.

There is a thread on here that tell you exactly how to check the height of your HID beam. I believe the car has to be 30' from a wall and there is a height you measure to the cutoff of the beam at the top of the driver and passenger side.
