You got hit or you hit something?
If you got hit, why is the person who hit you not paying for everything?
If you hit something, well, unless you run a body shop or have extensive experience installing and fitting body panels on cars, this really probably is not a job you should tackle on your own without some professional supervision.

agreed.
you said you got hit.
so...
make their insurance company pay for it.
and you don't even own a Helms service manual.
and you want to install your own fender?
um...
no.
and a little info for you, there's no such thing as a painted fender.
just like there's no such thing as a painted bumper cover.
OEM that is.
here's the link to buy it yourself:
http://www.acuraoemparts.com/delray/...ANEL_%28DOT%29
it'll come black, like all body panels do.
this is not the only piece that will need to be painted.
see, they'll have to paint this fender, then blend the paint into all the surrounding
panels so that it's not obvious it was replaced.
you need to go to a body shop, sorry.

Make a hole, coming thru!

mind you.

Even if the other driver isn't at fault, I'd pay your deductible and have a pro shop to it. I though of a DIY repair on a gouged rear bumper cover, but since I scratched the paint a little, I had a shop "make it right.""Pay the two dollars!"
