HELP! Break light problem

My Tsx has no break light this morning.
I've checked the all the tail lights and I see all lights are good when I turn headlights, but I get no break light when i depress break.
is there separate break light fuse for this in the fuse box? or what is break switch? is it some kind of fuse? where is it located?
Please help.

Step 1: Pull the cover off the under-dash fuse box.
Step 2: Flip over and read to see which fuse is for the brake lights.

If your fuses are okay, you obviously need to take it to the dealer.

Do you have an 04? Did you get the recall done? If not, wiring harness could be the problem.

yes, it is '04 TSX
But I'd already went to dealer for that recall.
I think it's brake light switch issue.
All my light are working fine, i didn't even get tail light warning from the console.

Thanks.

Brake pedal switch under the dash is a fairly common failure on '03-up Accords. I'd guess the TSX uses the same or similar part.

Thanks for the repley.

BTW, Do you know how long does it take to replace and how much it usually cost?
Is it fairly easy job?

Just an suggestion before replacing the switch... Bring the car up to speed and set the cruise control. Then tap the brake and see if the cruise control would disengage. If it does, then the brake switch should be fine.

If your car is an A/T model and the brake pedal switch is bad, you won't be able to shift the trans out of park. Replacement is fairly easy...you have to remove the left lower underdash cover...the switch twists 45 degrees and pulls out. New switch is pushed in til it seats against the brake pedal, and twists 45 degrees back to lock it into place. Accord switch is cheap...I think less than $15
if I recall....don't know about for the TSX.

That said, as mentioned above you should check the fuse/available power to the switch and circuit integrity from the switch to the bulbs before you just "throw parts at it".

If it's under warr...take it to the dealer.
