Heated Seats.

Hello,

Just curious if anyone has had any issues with the heated seats in their TSX's? I've got a buddy, who has an 04', who told me that this is a problematic area with the TSX. So, I'd thought I would see if this is a repair that I can look forward to down the road.

'04 here. No heated seat problems ever. Does he mean maybe the light in the switch was out? I had that this summer.

The only issue I have heard about in the last 1.5 years about the heated seats are that the light for the button was burned out.

Hey guys!

Yeah, I spoke to my buddy tonight, and the light for the driver's side heated seat switch is burned out. Is there an easy way to fix this, or is it best to stop at the dealership?

I've had my TSX for just under a year now and have not used the heated seat once! If you ask me, it's just a gimmicky option... I don't even know if the driver seat heats up or not, and frankly don't care if it doesn't. I know that the passenger seat does heat up as I accidentally turned it on one day as my passenger was commenting how warm his butt was feeling!

Hmmmm... come to think of it, it's a good way of "warming" up a chick eh?

The heated seat is great here in Illinois. Now that the weather is turning cold, having the heated seat on with the sunroof open for ventilation is great! The only issue I have is that it seems to get warm and then cool off for quite some time before heating back up again. It might be the location of the temperature regulating device?

Also, my drivers side light is out too. Have to get the dealer to take care of that one in the next 2k.

BTW, cestmoi: Are you twelve? That has to be the lamest ending to a post I have ever read.

^you're supposed to switch it to low after awhile and then it'll just remain warm for the duration of your ride or something like that

This is probably a regional thing. Here in Mass., it's become a must have; I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes the next "standard across the line" item, much the way power windows and door locks have. It may not be necessary in Tenn., but after your leather seats (in particular) have sat out in the parking lot for the day at 20 degrees, trust me, you'd appreciate heated seats.

I hardly ever use them, however, its the first thing my wife turns on when she gets in.

It's because you're stone cold and your heart pumps ice. LOL

I don't find the heated seats as useful as I initially thought they'd be, but I wouldn't be without them on those few months here when it gets cold enough.
