Did you get this letter from the mail? They will fix it for free.

Point out the TSB number to the service advisor at the dealer. They should fix the issue free of charge. If that does not work, try another service advisor, or even a whole other dealer. Experiences vary between people.

The dealer is suppose to perform the TSB regardless of if you're still under warranty.

and even if they don't want to fix them $1200 is just down right theft!! I think the lights only cost like $600 new anyway...

Last time I just went there and told the guy that Honda mailed me a letter saying that I needed to bring the car back for the headlight update or something. The guy worked there didn't really care and didn't ask for anything and pull 4 clips to the headlights.

They will only swap them out if they find condensation inside the headlight. If there is no condensation when they inspect the headlight then they will just install the clips for a better seal.

^^ Ok, thanks Jan. Hmm...I wonder where I can get said clips. I'd like to put them on my JDM headlights just in case.

Could someone that has these clips post a pic and/or part number?

Thanks in advance

^^ Did you have the TSB done and then add 2 clips per headlight yourself or was it a complete DIY on your part?

they go off of your vin code so you dont need the letter with you. They will punch in the VIN code into their database and you're car will pop up stating whether or not your car is eligible for the recall and whether or not it has been performed already...

if they try to charge you up-front, then they are sharks and you should file a complaint to their supervisor or even higher...
