Fuse for Accessory Power

For some reason both of my accessory power sockets arent working. I checked the fuse but it was fine. Any recomendations? On top of that my emissions light came on which makes me believe I pulled the wrong fuse.

I am having this problem as well... 06 TSX Nav

Funny thing. Yesterday morning I went down to run an errand. Car wouldn't start. Guages flashed and stuttered, and I heard a clicking sound. Battery was completely dead. Not sure how/why, but whatever... AcuraCare comes and jumps me, tells me to drive around 30 mins to charge up the battery. Done.

Then I notice my two outlets don't work. I have a cell phone charger and an ipod charger, so I try both and neither works. So I take it in to the dealer just now to get battery/alternator/starter checked and the outlets. They say the battery/alternator/starter all checked out ok, and that the outlets went out as a result of a blown fuse. So they put a new fuse in.

I start up the car and try out the cell phone charger. No dice. Service guy puts another fuse in. This time I try the ipod charger. No dice. Service guy says they are going to order me two new outlets.

Anyone else having this problem? If the fuse blows every single time, and it doesn't matter what charger is used, I'm inclined to think it's something more serious...

Thoughts??

This does not make any sense and replace the outlests is not going to fix the problem. If the fuse is blowing then something is shorting the ciruit to the outlet. that is ALL in can be, and nothing else.

Look for a foreign object such as a penny or paperclip in the sockets.

Awesome find poltergeist. I'm printing that doc and taking it in to the dealer tomorrow.

Genius. There was a penny in one of the sockets. Obviously this caused a short, blowing each new fuse they put in... but could this have caused my battery to drain??

I've replaced several on '06 Civics and CRV's. Seems like it's not a problem with 90% of the phone adapters out there...but a few don't interface right.

Yeah, no problem man. There's a good possibility that it was causing the sockets to constant me sucking up juice. Just make sure the battery is fully charged and see if you experience any battery problems. My guess is that you'll probably be fine.

More problems

Well, after a couple more weeks, I've had my battery drain completely TWICE since the instance posted about. Last weekend and again this weekend. Both times the car sat in my underground parking garage (I'm in a condo) for about a week between driving. Obviously, I've been on the phone with AcuraCare numerous times, most recently yesterday. I had the car (06 TSX Nav, 18000 miles) towed to the nearest dealer (same one I took it to the first time).

The service guy that took my info told me he thinks it's the main relay - says they see these go bad all the time. I'm like even on a car that's just over a year old?! He says yeah, they see it on cars just out of the factory. (!!!) If this is true, I am seriously questioning my loyalty to Honda/Acura right now.

Anyway, I really don't understand how the main relay could be draining my battery?? We are talking completely dead. The car won't start, and there is zero power at all (can't check the mileage or anything).

Anyone else think they know what's going on?
