front grill help

Hello all,

I just bought a 2004 TSX for my daughter but found out later the bottom of the grill was loose. When I took off the grill, there were mounting holes for the bottom of the grill, but no bolts. I am trying to find out if they are bolts or press in fittings. If they are bolts how attached? Any pics? Thanks....

FSM indicates that plastic clips (several varieties) hold the grill in place. There are 12 across the top and 4 across the bottom.

Unfortunately, FSM says front bumper cover must be remved to access lower clips.

Suggest purchasing a FSM to guide your work. Try automanualsource.com for a download FSM.

good luck

Hello all,
I went to Acura and got the right clips. They were a little pricey for clips but they were from Acura. I don't know if it was my car or not, but the bumper cover where the clips needed to go in was a bit flexible. Only the two middle ones are a tight fit, but I could move the bumper cover up enough to get the clip in, put the grill in, push the clip in to lock it and go. The two on the sides were very easy seeing they are up from the bumper. Hope this helps someone that needs to do the same thing. Might want to check with Honda, clips might be cheaper for the same thing...
