Front door rattle

I have been noticing rattles coming from both front doors when playing music at volume 15-20 (some songs only).

I am not sure if its a lose speaker or something else in the door causing something inside to rattle.

Anyone else with this issue? Or know what could require some sound deadening?

Thanks!

This is somewhat commonly reported by people who like to blast their music. There are a bunch of DIY threads on installing dynomat in the doors which will fix the problem. They show pretty clearly what needs to be covered inside the door.

There is also a TSB addressing door rattles. I think it came out in 05 or 06.

i wouldnt call it blasting, unless volume 15 is blasting. its only for certain songs where the frequency of the bass is lower.

I guess I will have to take a look and deaden whats necessary. too bad its winter now!

i read the TSB about the rattle but it may be a separate issue. I will double check agian though.

Thanks guys

I dont know if this would help but I have an 05 AT and my rear driver side door had a rattling sound while driving. It worsten on bumpy roads. Took it in to Acura and they found out the window regulator was loose which cause the window to rattle. Luckily Acura replaced it under warranty. Maybe you might want to check the window regulators and make sure everything is bolted down tight.

Both my doors did this when my car was brand-new. It was particularly bad when using HFL. Dynamat added to one door, and the other one they had to replace the hole panel (and also added the Dynamat, I think). All of this was under warranty.

hmmm, i brought this up at my last oil change. they said $220 in labour to look inside the door panels and to add insulation.

its an 05 tsx with 89,000km's. i do have the acura gold warrenty (bumper to bumper) until 2012 or 160,000km.

Do you guys think this should be covered under warranty for free?

Thanks for your help!

Im sure the Acura gold warranty is the same as the manufacturers warranty and they should check and fix the problem. I dont know why they are charging you because I was able to get mine fixed under warranty.
