I've read many a/c issues with the 04-05's but my 06 crapped out today. The compressor turns on, there is still refrigerant in the lines. So, I took it to a mechanic- and he said the compressor is toasted. He gave me a quote of $800 for parts and labor, is this good deal?

Also, I remember seeing something about talking to Acura (The company itself) and they offering to pay for some/all of it? What qualifies you for this?

 

I believe you only qualify if you are the owner of a 2004 model. I may be wrong on this.
