I have an 04 that i just recently bought certified and never got a letter about the fogging headlights. Just wondering, do they replace the headlights with new ones? and if i call them will they most likely do mine? Thanks

Dmasott- Yes, they will, assuming they have not been replaced already. All you have to do is take the car into the dealer. They may try to install clips onto the lights to "fix" the problem but if you bring it back again for the same problem, they'll replace them. Some dealers just straight up replace them because they know you'll be back. I had the clips done then a week later the lights replaced. 2 trips but worth it. My headlights were screwed up wicked bad when I bought the car so free headlights sounded great to me. Took about 2 hours with other customers infront of me.
Also while you there, if you havn't already, have them check on the rear trunk harness tsb as well. Get that done to.
Since your's is certified, they should be able to bring up the vehicles service history and see if they've done the work already.

Thanks a lot for the reply, i'm going to call them today when i go to lunch..It's not that its even that big of a deal, i would just like the look of new headlights..I do know that the trunk problem had been fixed previously before i got it, but no record that i know of on the headlights...Thanks again

I received a letter from Acura and they put the clips on....one thing though is I never go through a drive-thru car wash, but went to a touch-free car wash and noticed my headlight was all fogged up. I will have to bring my car back in to get a new headlight. Do you get one or both replaced?

Just a little more info on this for you guys, after I had my headlights replaced, I washed my car, by hand with a hose, and the headlight fogged up again but cleared up after about a minute. I called the dealer and they told me that the recall is for the headlights not clearing up after they fog up, not just because they fog up.

Darn, I have JDM 05 Headlights and tonight they both just started fogging up I'll check tomorrow if they stopped fogging. I noticed that my right headlight fogged up once a long time ago then tonight my right headlight fogged up then when i got home both headlights fogged up. The fogging is covering up almost half the headlight.
I hopw the fogging will disappear.

steph-ha, nice avatar- if you've already had the clips installed and it's still doing it, just go get your headlights replaced. atleast then, if you switch to the jdm/edm ones, you'd be able to sell the stock ones a little easier. plus they're free.
