Fog light

My fog light just broke--both sides-- on my 2004 TSX !?
i did not know this is a problem with Acura. Are there a recall for the fog light?? What is the cheapest way to repalce them other than paying 98 dollor each??

No recall. Check the fuses.
Also, you need to have the headlights on in order to turn on the foglights. Also check all of the wiring connections.
If that does work... maybe the bulbs just went out.

Griot's garage, 3m, etc all make an a rock guard that you can cut to fit over the fog lights to protect them.

Besides ebay, you could try wreck yard that sells used parts. They should have some TSXs that have been totalled in the rear and that could/would still have fogs...

Go to HandA.com and buy the correct side for an Accord. Costs $100. I just replaced mine about 2-3 months ago and got mine from them. It is the same part.

Did you end up buying the lens like moda_way suggested?

I'm freaked about my fogs busting... I'm considering the mesh guard job since the clear bras all seem to brown... argh!

That is one sad fact of the clear material... it does go brown. I'm thinking of looking into the mess. I just don't want it to look all funky.

Just go to ebay and by the replacement for the RSX or a Civic. That is what I ended up doing, it only ended up costing me $25. You just have to you the hardware that came off the TSX to re-attach.

I ended up getting the light protectors afterwards also....here are a couple of pics.

If you buy the OEM ones again, they are just going to break again. Trust me I went through 2 sets of OEM fogs.

I haven't had a problem with my protectors browning....and I run them all the time. The company I bought it from said they are rated to handle up to 300 degrees. So far so good for me.

I assume you can get a clear set? I just have noticed everyone's clear protectors have browned. MrChad had the same issue and sent them back to Griot's. They just offered to send him more of the same. I'm skeptical at this point, but I have a few more pieces to use.

FYI, I've also broken a fog light with the protector stuff on. That kinda sucked.

moda....it comes in 4 different colors + a clear. Also in the clear there are several thicknesses available. I just bought the sheet though, it saves you a little bit of money and gives you room for error.

Thanks!!!

I might have to try them out... I'm on my second set of the 3-M ones and they will brown if my car isn't moving. In fact, they've got some brownage on them right now
