Finally the rattle was fixed in Japan
Finally the rattle was fixed in Japan
Hi everyone ! Wow! The rattle of my ACCORD WAGON was fixed by the latest official improvement of Honda Japan !
Honda Japan officially announced the improvement for the rattle sound last weekend as follows. And at last my dealer could fix the rattle sound from the right rear door completely !
My gentle and quiet staion wagon has come back to me ! Wow !
(1) Honda Japan started to supply the improved sub-seal for the rear doors on 10 May 2004 in Japan.
(The one for the front doors started to be supplyed in December 2003 in Japan.)
(2) Honda Japan advised my dealer to open the gap slightly between the welded edge of the opening on the body side and to inject the grease (rather hard) into the gap.
I appreciate the sincere attitude for my dealer (Honda CLIO Japan) to solve the rattle problem. It takes about 1 year to fix it, but the respect for his struggle has been left.
Now I am very glad at the revival of the quiet car.
I wish everyone could get the improvement as soon as possible.

Thank you veru much for your res, dabuda2004-san and fdl-san !
Today I got the res on the Japanese website for JDM ACCORD/ACCORD WAGON Fans.
He said that the latest official improvement is not only the new subseal for the rear doors but also the second generation improved subseal for the front doors.
By virtue of the 2nd type, the rattle sound of his JDM ACCORD has gone completely, he said.
I wish you could get them as soon as possible.
My ACCORD WAGON has been very confortable. The rattle sound has gone completely.

The Prestige_Acura is back in my possession after spending a week at the dealer. They have Thank God "Cross my fingers" fixed the microspopic rattle it had. It feels even nicer than before. Meanwhile, the loaner I gave them back was rattling like anything, but it did seemed abused by loaners who had it prior to me. I did give my Acura technicians all the tid bits I found on problems and attempted fixes you all and your dealers tried. It helped those guys out a lot. I even included the japan technicians and the other detailed related problems. It was one long cut and pasted e-mail but it was worth the final results of a stealthy smooth TSX!~
Thanks for all your posts fellas~

I wish all the Tsx owners who are annoyed with rattle would be able to enjoy the charms of Tsx as soon as possible.
PS. You live in Dallas, don't you ? I went there 5 years ago for my first business trip abroad. I love Dallas. Good place !
