exhaust DIY
#2
There isn't much work involve removing the stock exhaust.
1. Jack up the car from the rear using the rear center jack point
2. Support the car with jack stands on the right and left support points in front of the rear wheels
3. Remove the 3 nuts on the exhaust/cat connection
4. Remove the rear muffers from the rubber hangers. Optionally, you can remove the drive side muffler from the exhaust pipe.
5. Remove the exhaust pipe mid section hanger and lower the entire exhaust system to the ground. It's pretty heavy!!
The new exhaust usually comes in 3 pieces. 2 muffler sections and a mid section.
1. Hang the mufflers on first to take the weight off
2. Hange the mid section pipe and join it to the cat converter. Loosely install the nuts/bolts with the gasket.
3. Connect the mid section pipe to the mufflers. Loosely install the nuts/bolts with the gaskets.
4. Tighten all nuts and bolts while trying to center the exhast tips between the exhaust openings
5. Start the engine and check for exhaust leak
6. Remove jack stands and jack when done.

thanks JT, thats pretty much the idea I had, but just hearing you has re-enforced it. Does anyone have pics of the job, I haven't really been under my TSX like that yet. If not maybe I'll try and do a DIY to share with others.
